With over 155,000 units sold in the US in 2022, it’s pretty easy to see why the #SubaruCrosstrek is so popular. This past week, @subaru_usa loaned us the ultimate version of the #Crosstrek, the 2024 #CrosstrekWilderness. It’s the cheapest way to get into a #Wilderness #Subaru vehicle and it gets some off-road upgrades that put it in the same company as a Jeep Compass Trailhawk and Ford Bronco Sport Badlands. With 9.3” of ground clearance, Yokohama Geolander A/T tires on 17” matte black wheels, and revised tuning for the CVT, this 2.5L F-4 engine still delivers 182 HP and we clocked a 0-60 MPH sprint in 7.8 secs. Not bad performance for a vehicle that can also tow up to 3,500 lbs, the most in this subcompact SUV class. Pricing for the Wilderness trim begins at a reasonable $31,995, and our test vehicle painted in Sapphire Blue with the optional sunroof, power drivers seat, and Harmon Kardon stereo stickers for $35,560, or about $10k less than the Jeep and Ford competitor.
